Privacy policy

Home Board Nest is a personal household integration maintained by Cristian Cotovan.

Information and purpose

With the owner's authorisation, the integration accesses selected Nest thermostat information: temperature, humidity, device settings, connectivity and heating state. The home-information permission may also provide home and room names and postal code. These data are used to evaluate a private household dashboard connection.

Google's thermostat permission includes control as well as viewing. Current use is limited to reads. This authorisation does not request access to Google email, contacts or calendar data.

Storage and processing

Credentials and original API responses are stored in files restricted to the owner's local computer account, outside the project repository. Research notes and selected readings are saved locally. Authorised development tools may process information during setup and troubleshooting. No ongoing polling service is running.

The connection communicates with Google to authorise access and retrieve device data. Household information is not published on this site, sold, or used for advertising. Records are retained until the owner removes them or replaces them during setup.

Website hosting

This static information site is hosted by Cloudflare. It has no application login, forms or analytics scripts. Cloudflare processes requests to deliver and secure the site; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Revoking access and removing records

The owner can revoke access through Google Nest Partner Connections Manager or Google Account connections. Revocation stops future authorised access but does not delete already saved local records. The owner can remove those files separately.

Google API data

Home Board Nest's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

This policy will be updated before materially different collection, use or sharing is introduced. Contact the maintainer through cotovan.com.
